Christina off on one of her many destination adventures!

This post officially launches a new series on our blog called ‘Meet Team Beahm’! To start the ball rolling, today we feature the longest standing member of the david beahm design team (besides David himself, of course): Christina Matteucci!

As the Executive Director of the david beahm destinations program, Christina Matteucci is responsible, along with David, for creating special events around the globe, in addition to inspecting and vetting the properties in the destination collection. Christina graduated from N.Y.U.’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2001—not long after David designed Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’ wedding. Inspired by what she’d seen, Christina mailed David her resume once a month, every month for a year until she was finally granted an interview. Christina has worked with David ever since, and credits her degree in theater with helping her create a sense of magic for every client’s event.

Who, real or fictional, would be the guest of honor at your dinner party?
Without question, I would want Elizabeth I of England at my dinner party! With a double major in English Literature, I have more than a minor obsession with all things Tudor related. As a woman of tremendous strength – I take a great deal of inspiration from her. I’d also want to ask her where her mother’s famous ‘B’ necklace ended up!

What would you personal slogan be?
“Do You!” In this world of social media, I think we all get a little caught up in playing compare/contrast with our contemporaries, colleagues, friends, and family. I think it is most important to remember that where you ARE is exactly where you are meant to BE. Always to continue to strive for advancement and success but know the only person one needs to eclipse is oneself. I remind myself of this mantra everyday!

If you could throw your dream destination soiree anywhere in the world, where would it be?
As Executive Director of david beahm destinations, this is a MOST difficult question to answer. Of course, I immediately think of my home in Northern California and the beauty of the Napa Valley, however, this has recently been shadowed by my second home in Italy and the majestic glory of the Val d’Orcia.

Any secret talents?
